Introduction

In some of our previous articles, we have been able to share some insights on the salaries and salary structures of some of the Fast Moving Commodity Goods (FCMG) companies in Nigeria such as the Nigerian Breweries and Nestle Nigeria folks. Overview of the Industry

Fast Moving Commodity Goods often referred to as FMCG is one of the fastest growing industries in Nigeria or arguably the fastest in recent times. FMCG companies on a daily basis worldwide keep gaining more popularity and breaking new grounds. Nigeria has not taken an exception to this. The reason for this is not farfetched. No individual can do without the Basic Human Necessities (BHN) of life. Food and Health products being primary of these. Among the FMCG products are

Durable Goods
Products for Cleaning and Washing
Beauty Aids
Plates and Dishes
Light Bulbs and Batteries
Tobacco and Beverages
Medicines and etc.

Goods such as these, are less likely to have a decline in demand and sales during crisis periods, even during recessions and violence periods. The reason is simple, you cannot do without them. No wonder, companies in this industry keep growing despite the hardship in present times that have befallen Nigeria as a country.

No wonder also, that most graduates in Nigeria would probably want to work with firms in this industry as the risk of job insecurities due to declining sales is drastically reduced or totally eliminated. This also reflects in the number of workers the firms in this industry employ and the salaries they are paid as greatly commensurate.

The salaries paid by firms in the Nigeria FMCG Industry are thus as follows;

Dangote Group Nigeria

The Dangote Group is the hugest manufacturing group of businesses in Nigeria, having a range of brands and products cutting across different sectors of businesses in Nigeria.
